Managing Director, Alternative Fuels – EU at ANGI Energy Systems LLC.

With contracts from $1M to $8M, ANGI has recently expanded into Hydrogen, as well as having launched in the UK and Europe to sell natural gas and hydrogen fuelling stations. It’s an exciting time to join us!

As Managing Director, you will be the driving force in scaling up our business in size and capabilities across the UK and Europe, leading and growing the sales team as we gain traction and working closely with our customers.

Additionally, as we build out, you’ll seek and develop partnerships with production manufacturing and create joint ventures to deliver expansion across the UK and Europe. This position will report to the President of ANGI.

What You'll Be Doing

As Managing Director, you will own the expansion across Europe, ensuring that our sales and service objectives not only meet but exceed expectations.

Your role will encompass:

  • Building and designing a robust Sales and Service organisation within Europe to surpass sales, growth, and profitability targets.

  • Managing the sales funnel and owning the process end-to-end.

  • Securing client retention and driving recurring revenue.

  • Increasing client “wallet share” through expansion of wider Company’s solutions

  • Collaborate closely with Marketing to maximise return on investment and optimise customer acquisition costs.

  • Fostering a customer-centric sales culture within the team.

  • Building capabilities to import product into European target countries.

  • Leading preparation and presentations of regular pipeline and forecast calls.

  • Analysing performance against plan with a focus on achieving / exceeding quota.

  • Crafting both short-term actions and long-term strategies, supported by appropriate budget planning.

  • Embodying a culture of stretch goal attainment utilising the Vontier Business System (VBS).

  • Monitoring and controlling costs to stay within budgeted standards.

What You'll Need

To excel in this role, you should bring:

  • A relevant bachelor’s degree.

  • Significant experience formulating and executing sales strategies directed towards large corporations.

  • Proven leadership ability with 10+ years’ experience in sales and account management.

  • 10+ years working with the B2B technologies, preferably within the fuel or alternative fuel industry.

  • Ability to plan, prioritise, adapt to change, and provide appropriate follow-through to effectively drive business results.

  • Ability to present strategic and operational results to C-Level customers, internal corporate leadership, and employees.

  • Ability to influence people with exemplary business acumen working with sales and technology leaders in a matrix structure.

  • Proven track record in attracting, evaluating, training and developing a high-calibre customer-oriented sales team.

  • Proficiency / self-sufficiency with MS Office Suite and CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce.com; Hubspot).

  • Experience with government entities is advantageous.
