Vontier VP, Finance in Janesville, Wisconsin

The VP of Finance is primarily responsible for overseeing the accounting functions, providing input on the strategic direction of the company, and input to all business functions regarding continuous improvement of financial results, including variance to budget and forecast reporting to corporate. Primary location will be Wisconsin.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Oversees Accounting departments and leads the prioritization and planning process of these groups.

• Establishes current and long-range objectives in concert with the strategic plan.

• Provides advisory services to support the President in all facets of accounting functions, as well as broadly across the business.

• Participates in all phases of strategic planning and policy deployment activities.

• Interfaces with Vontier corporate finance, legal teams, and insurance teams with risk management.

• Assists with all major credit decisions.

• Oversees financial audits, internal audits, tax preparation, and CPA financial statement preparation and publication.

• Designs and develops proper internal controls for accounting.

• Ensures accurate financial reporting.

• Ensures compliance with tax regulations.

• Oversees accounts receivable collection and works to reduce net working capital.

• Provides tracking and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators.

• Performs forecasting in alignment with Vontier requirements for revenue, profit, and working capital.

• Review and approve all capital expenditures ensuring best financial value.

WHO YOU ARE

• Must have at least 10-15 years of experience in the field

• Must be eligible to work in the United States

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) or equivalent from a four-year college; 10-15 years’ experience in the field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred education: MBA

• To perform this job successfully, need knowledge of accounting software; Database software; Internet software; Payroll systems; Human Resources systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
