About the role

This is great opportunity to join the team at Invenco by GVR to build, maintain and support software solutions for our global customers. You’ll be working alongside collaborative teams based locally and in India.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

· Software development and documentation

· Software product maintenance updating regression an unit test suites

· Contributing to software design and architecture for selected product streams

· Collaborating with developers, product management and the architecture team to ensure product designs fit well into the Invenco by GVR product range

· Test plan development

· Follow Agile development methodology

About you

You’ll be a self starter who is keen to take the next step in your Software Development career. Excellent collaboration and communication skills are important along with innovative ideas to solve problems and improve usability for our customers.

Essential Skills:

· Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Development or Engineering

· 3+ years of development and or testing experience

· Proficient in C+· Experience with Version Control Systems- (Git)

· Technical skills including a high level of understanding of software development, network systems, software test

· Problem investigation and resolution experience in a software environment

Desirable Skills:

· Payments and/or retail petroleum industry experience

· Embedded Linux X86/ ARM

· C, Java, Assembler, Python, Bash scripting

· Ability to promote a test driven development approach

· Experience using embedded tools; compilers, debuggers, JTAG, protocol analysers, RTOS or OSes
