About the role

This is a great opportunity to grow and develop your leadership skills with responsibility to manage, motivate and lead a local team and multiple Scrum Teams. You'll also be responsible for ensuring the effective management of activities relating to the build, maintenance and support of software solutions.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

· Team leadership and management

· Coordinating and planning of development resourcing requirements, product priorities and customer commitments

· Communication and reporting

· Working collaboratively with Product management, Engineering and customers

· Subject Matter Expert for the applications products and their operation on Invenco’s product portfolio

· Software development and documentation

· Software product maintenance

· Software design and architecture

· Test plan development

About you

Ideally, You'll have 10 years of software development and/ or Testing experience. You'll be collaborative, and able to build partnerships across the business and with customers. You will be able to manage complexity, use insights to make sound decisions and bring your innovative thinking to solve problems and improve process. Managing and developing the talent within your team is key.

Essential Skills:

· Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Development or Engineering

· 10 plus years of development and or testing experience developing code using C+· Experience with Version Control Systems- (Git)

· Technical skills including a high level of understanding of software development, network systems, software test

· Problem investigation and resolution experience in a software environment

Desirable Skills:

· Payments and/or retail petroleum industry experience

· Embedded Linux X86/ ARM

· C, Java, Assembler, Python, Bash scripting

· Ability to promote a test driven development approach

· Experience using embedded tools; compilers, debuggers, JTAG, protocol analysers, RTOS or OSes
